About us

We are a small, independent IT support outfit working with households and small businesses across Yorkshire.

Most technology problems are not complicated. They are just unfamiliar, and the people who could explain them tend to explain them badly. That is the gap we set out to fill: proper technical help, delivered by someone who will tell you what is going on in words you can repeat to a colleague afterwards.

Why we give the guides away

A good proportion of the calls we take could have been a five-minute fix if somebody had shown the caller where to click. Rather than charge for that, we wrote it down. Every guide in the directory is free, has no sign-up, and is written the way we would explain it sitting next to you.

If you work through one and it does not solve your problem, that is genuinely useful to know — it usually means something less obvious is going on, and that is when it is worth calling us.

What you can expect

  • A price agreed before any work starts, and a call if the job changes
  • Plain English, on the phone and in writing
  • An honest view on whether equipment is worth repairing
  • No commission-driven recommendations — we are not tied to any supplier
  • Your data treated as confidential, always
