Our Process
Secure, Transparent, and Compliant
At Revolve ITAD, we operate from our specialised processing centre at Copley Valley Business Park in Sowerby Bridge. Operating strictly under our Environment Agency T11 exemption, we prioritize the reuse of IT equipment over recycling wherever economically possible.
We understand that handing over your redundant IT assets requires trust. That is why we have built a seamless, fully trackable collection and data destruction process designed to give you complete peace of mind. By utilizing industry-leading platforms like Novafox and HubSpot, we meticulously log every asset and maintain clear communication with you from start to finish. This integrated system ensures that you have immediate access to your data destruction reports and asset logs the moment your devices are processed.
1. How Our Collection Works
We keep you informed at every step of the journey so you never have to guess when we are arriving or where your equipment is going.
- Schedule a Booking: We work with you to arrange a collection date that minimises disruption to you and your business.
- Pre-Collection Confirmation: The day before your scheduled collection, we will send an email via HubSpot to confirm the pickup is still going ahead, you must respond to this email, or we will postpone the collection.
- En-Route Notification: Once we have your confirmation on the day before the collection, our logistics team will then call you 30 minutes prior to arrival on the day of collection so your team can be ready.
- Secure Transport: Your assets are safely loaded and transported back to our secure processing centre in Sowerby Bridge.
2. Expert Data Destruction & Processing
Once your equipment arrives at our facility, it is handled by our expert IT technicians—some of whom bring over 20 years of industry experience to the workbench.
- Functional Devices: Equipment that powers on successfully is systematically wiped using industry-leading software (PartedMagic or Blancco) to permanently destroy all data while leaving the drive intact for reuse.
- Non-Functional Devices: If a device fails to power on, we physically extract the data-bearing drives (HDDs, SSDs) and if eccomically viable we will attempt to wipe it in our external wiping machines.
- Wipe vs. Shred Triage: Extracted drives are assessed for their economic viability. If they hold value for reuse, they are securely wiped. If they are obsolete, failing, or uneconomical to wipe, they are physically shredded to ensure total data destruction.
3. Full Documentation and Certification
Our job isn’t finished when the data is destroyed; it’s finished when you have the proof. Once your job is completed in Novafox, we will instantly issue a comprehensive Data Destruction Certificate. This documentation provides a transparent log of all data-bearing items we have successfully wiped or shredded, ensuring you meet your own data protection and GDPR compliance requirements.
4. Full Asset Logging
For a small fee per device we can log all devices received from your company, allowing you to removed discarded item from your own inventory system, this service must be booked before a collection is scheduled.
